DESCRIPTION
The Monsordo-Bernardina estate is one of the places most suited to the production of great Nebbiolo wines in the Alba area. Although it shared soils and climate with the neighboring Barolo area, due to a quirk it was not allowed inside the area protected by the prestigious appellation. Today the vineyards around the historic farmhouse provide us with high quality grapes. Fermentation in steel and aging in old wood yield wines of great expressive potential, complex and long-lived, protected by the Nebbiolo d'Alba doc.
Alba
Alcoholic fermentation in steel vats at a constant controlled temperature.
14 months in barriques (20% new) and 3 months in bottle.
Brilliant ruby red. Bouquet rich in enveloping sensations of rose petals, berries, wet soil and sweet spices. Elegant and pleasantly tannic taste, with nuances of tobacco and a clean finish
HOW TO SERVE
