DESCRIPTION
Another of the famous Monopolies of the Domaine Faiveley, is a 14-acre lot located north of the village of Mercurey. The vines date back to the sixties of the last century and grow on a mixed clayey and calcareous soil.
Burgundy
The grapes are hand-picked and selected at Mercurey himself. Soon after, the young wines will be divided and sent to the cellars of Nuits-St-Georgetown for aging.
First in stainless steel vats, then in new oak barrels for 12-14 months
Intense ruby red color. The nose releases aromas of black and red fruits and woody and smoky notes. The taste is full with velvety tannins. It is harmonious and warm.
HOW TO SERVE
14-16 ºC
It is recommended to let it breathe 1 hour before tasting it.
It can be perfectly stored in the cellar for 6-8 years
It goes well with creamy dishes, game, poultry, short-aged cheeses, but also with dessert such as strawberry pie.
