DESCRIPTION
Many Veronese will tell you that Valpolicella Classico is the wine that tells the history of the region and we can only agree. The wines of Valpolicella require all the skills of the winemaker to find the perfect combination of the native grapes of our hills. Our fathers established from the very beginning that the Rafaèl vineyard on Monte Masua was dedicated to Valpolicella Superiore, having all the perfect characteristics to produce our blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, in percentages that vary each year. Fifteen months of aging complete a savory and intense wine, without losing freshness and elegance. We don't add any other descriptors that might distract you from the discovery. Whether you open Rafaèl tonight or let him wait in the cellar, we invite you to give him the time he deserves. ' MANUFACTURER'S NOTE. Elegant is the adjective that best describes the character of Rafaèl, an unmistakable wine closely linked to the history of the Tommasi family.

CELLAR
The historical context of the Belle Époque gives an idea of the frivolous and light breeze that crossed the city of Verona when Giacomo Battista Tommasi married Augusta in 1902 and went to live with his family. While continuing to cultivate the family land in Valpolicella, Giacomo already saw beyond wine, no longer as a simple drink, but as a superior quality product, intended for social occasions and celebrations. Two world wars have only postponed his dream and where his children would continue to work, contributing generously to the community of Pedemonte, where we still live and work today. Read more
