The most disciplined of collectors will be able to enjoy a memorable vertical in a few years or decades. 2015 VINTAGE: characterized by extremely high temperatures and low rainfall during the season. Acidity was in sharp decline with less fresh but softer and rounder wines. Precisely for this reason it was an excellent vintage for the symbolic wines of Valpolicella which have their most characteristic aspects in their softness, roundness and elegance.
Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella (VR)
Manual harvest and selection of the grapes, with subsequent drying for about 3 months in a well-ventilated loft. Fermentation in steel for 25 days. at a temperature of 25/30 °.
Aged for 3 years in 35 hl and 65 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
Ruby red color of excellent intensity, intense and clear hints of very ripe cherry, black cherry, wild berries emerge on the nose followed by fresh and slightly spicy tones. In the mouth it is dry and soft at the same time, enveloping and of great balance thanks to the excellent balance between acidity and tannins. The whole taste is embellished by a tannic texture of great pleasure, which fades towards a finish of excellent persistence, with light hints of red fruit.

CELLAR
The historical context of the Belle Époque gives an idea of the frivolous and light breeze that crossed the city of Verona when Giacomo Battista Tommasi married Augusta in 1902 and went to live with his family. While continuing to cultivate the family land in Valpolicella, Giacomo already saw beyond wine, no longer as a simple drink, but as a superior quality product, intended for social occasions and celebrations.
