DESCRIPTION
The excellence of Negroamaro from a unique terroir. XNUMX% Negroamaro from Tormaresca takes its name from the Salento estate in which it is produced. The farm is reached by following a path that winds its way through pine forests and olive groves and its name derives from the small church that rises outside the walls. The chapel dedicated to S. Pasquale a Maìme (district of the area) was built to guarantee farmers a place where they could pray during the week when they were away from home and tells a lot about the values and rhythms of the past. The wine stands out for the splendid contrast between a powerful nose and a soft and elegant palate.
MASSERIA MAÌME, SALENTO, San Pietro Vernotico (BR).
After a gentle pressing, the fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 26-28 ° C. The maceration, managed with soft pumping over and delestage in order to make a gradual and balanced extraction, lasted for 15-18 days.
The wine is aged in wooden and steel vats for 6-8 months.
Masseria Maìme has a ruby red color. The nose shows notes of plum, blueberry, accompanied by delicate sensations of violets and rose hips, well balanced with hints of licorice and anise. The entry on the palate is soft, followed by an elegant tannin and a very balanced finish.
HOW TO SERVE

CELLAR
Passion, courage and confidence in the enormous qualitative potential of Puglia are the elements that prompted the Antinori to invest in this region, in particular in the areas of Castel del Monte and Salento. The basic idea on which the production philosophy of Tormaresca is based is that of producing great wines from indigenous Apulian vines. Most of the vineyards are cultivated with traditional grapes, some of which date back to the Magna Graecia civilization, and strongly rooted in the territory: Primitivo, Negroamaro, Fiano Pugliese, Aglianico, Nero di Troia and Moscato Reale L The Tormaresca company consists of two estates located in the areas most suited to the winemaking tradition of the region: Tenuta Bocca di Lupo in the Castel del Monte DOC, immersed in the wild Bari Murgia and Masseria Maime in the Salento area, the beating heart of Puglia Read more
