DESCRIPTION
Just as the Shardana explored the Mediterranean while maintaining strong ties with Sardinia, in this blend a 5% Syrah gives an international touch to a Carignano-based wine, grown in its chosen lands. A round wine of great drinkability.
PORTO PINO, SULCIS IGLESIENTE
Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, and maceration with the skins lasts approx. 14 days. The malolactic fermentation is always on time and is carried out without problems. Once the wine is ready, it is racked into barriques in the months of December-January following the harvest.
The passage in semi-new French oak fine-grained barriques for a period of approx. 12 months, allows the wine to refine organoleptically, thus acquiring qualities of longevity and elegance.
Color: very intense, dark ruby red. Bouquet: complex and enveloping, hints of withered fruits and flowers, spicy notes of vanilla and black pepper. Taste: balanced for its extractive components, structured, soft, elegant, harmonious.

CELLAR
The Cantina di Santadi was founded in 1960 by the will of a group of grape producers, coordinated by the ETFAS, that is the body for land and agricultural transformation in Sardinia, with the aim of transforming the grapes into associated forms and selling the wine. obtained. The location is in Santadi, south-western Sardinia, in the heart of Sulcis. Until the 80s, the business was limited to the production and sale of bulk wine, with timid sales initiatives for bottled wine, with poor results. In the mid-seventies, with the arrival of a new board of directors, headed by the current president Antonello Pilloni, the turning point took place. Learn more
