DESCRIPTION
The marriage between Chardonnay and Vermentino is a successful one. Celebrated in the bottles of “Villa di Chiesa” this union generates a balanced and dynamic wine with a soft and fresh finish of great finesse. The fruity notes and toasted and pastry scents are perfectly integrated with the notes given by the stay in barrique.
PORTO PINO, SULCIS IGLESIENTE
The must, separated from the marc by means of a "soft" press, is fermented in barriques. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation the refinement continues keeping the yeast stocks in suspension by means of the bâtonnage. Given the size and nature of the containers, this operation gives greater complexity to the wine.
-
Color: shiny straw yellow with gold and green veins. Bouquet: delicate aromas of exotic fruit combined with more decisive notes of butter and banana. Taste: in the mouth it is soft and with a good flavor, persistent. It gives on the finish a pleasant note of vanilla and citrus, the result of a perfect integration between the wine and the barrique.
HOW TO SERVE
12-14ºC
It enhances both white and red meat dishes, roasted fish and in sauce, and medium-aged cheeses.
CELLAR
The Cantina di Santadi was founded in 1960 by the will of a group of grape producers, coordinated by the ETFAS, that is the body for land and agricultural transformation in Sardinia, with the aim of transforming the grapes into associated forms and selling the wine. obtained. The location is in Santadi, south-western Sardinia, in the heart of Sulcis. Until the 80s, the business was limited to the production and sale of bulk wine, with timid sales initiatives for bottled wine, with poor results. In the mid-seventies, with the arrival of a new board of directors, headed by the current president Antonello Pilloni, the turning point took place. Learn more
