DESCRIPTION
On calcareous and clayey soils the vineyards find the ideal environment and the perfect climate, the clusters reach optimal levels of ripeness. In the "Barrua" the Carignano (85%) marries the international vines to give a structured and long-lived wine.
BASSO SULCIS, NARCAO AND BARRUA AREAS
The must ferments with the skins at a temperature between 25 and 30 ° C in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of about 15 days, the entire mass is subjected to periodic pumping over which facilitate the passage into solution of the compounds present in the pomace. The malolactic fermentation confers characteristics of softness to the wine.
The wine is then aged in new French oak barriques for about 18 months. It then rests in glass for at least 12 months.
The quality of the Sulcitane red grapes is excellent not only for color, but also for the softness of its extractive components: from the tannins to the always contained and elegant acidometric heritage and for the souplesse of its important components. Its polyphenolic outfit is made up of a very delicate, round, elegantly sweet tannic fabric and chromatically embroidered with refined anthocyanins. Color: intense and lively ruby red, a chromatic gift of nature. Bouquet: complex aromas of ripe red fruit (mainly black cherry), spices, notes of licorice and memories of myrtle. Taste: elegant wine that demonstrates an impeccable workmanship; notes of sage and myrtle with aromas of ripe red fruits and pepper in a persistent and harmonious finish.

AgriPunica, one of the most promising names in wine production… is a joint-venture between the Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia Group, the Cantina di Santadi, Antonello Pilloni president of the winery and the legendary Tuscan winemaker Giacomo Tachis. It was the latter who thought of Sardinia and convinced everyone that they could produce a fantastic wine from grapes grown in Sulcis.
