This wine is produced only in the best years from a rigorous selection of grapes from the best vineyards of the Inferno sub-area. It ages in oak barrels and ages for a long time in the bottle. A wine of great balance with considerable capacity for evolution.

In small oak barrels for about 18 months. Pre-bottling assembly in steel tanks for about 2 months.
Refinement in the bottle in dark and cool cellars for one year before release.
Intense ruby red color. On the nose notes of small red fruits, spices, tobacco, thyme. In the mouth it is rich, dense and with a long finish. Particularly long-lived wine.

CELLAR
At the beginning of the 1925s, Valtellina found itself in a context of poverty and emigration. The strong desire to emerge pushes Aldo Rainoldi to start his own business as a wine merchant in XNUMX. In the second half of the XNUMXs, his son Giuseppe decided to work alongside him. The qualitative growth is realized with the purchase of grapes instead of wine as well as the sale in the bottle replaces that in chestnut barrels. This phase coincides with the expansion of the markets: no longer only Lombardy and Switzerland, but also the United States, Japan, northern Europe thanks also to a wider and more differentiated range of wines.
