DESCRIPTION
Attems Pinot Grigio Coppery takes up the tradition of the Republic of Venice, because “coppery” was the word used to indicate Pinot Grigio. It comes from a particular vinification: the must remains in contact with the skins for about 10 hours and enriches the wine with a beautiful pink hue.
Areas located between the plains and the slopes of the province of Gorizia, Capriva del Friuli (GO)
The skins and the must, after destemming-crushing, are left in contact for about 10 hours at 8 ° C. Subsequently, the rosé must, obtained from soft pressing, is left to decant for 24-48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation then follows on clear must, conducted at low temperatures (15-17 ° C) for 15 days. The vinification is carried out in steel containers. After fermentation, the wine rests for 3 months on the noble lees which are frequently suspended.
15% of production 4 months in barriques, 2 months in steel, one month in bottle.
At sight it has a beautiful pink hue that brings to mind the Rosa di Gorizia. The nose is expressive and fruity; the aromas of lime blossom, peach and citrus are intense, with a slight perception of raspberry. On the palate she expresses her great delicacy, with a perfect balance between acidity and body, where sensations of mulberry and passion fruit accompany us in the persistent final tasting.

CELLAR
Attems: a name that evokes the history of ** wine in Friuli Venezia Giulia **. In fact, the first document attesting the possessions of lands suitable for viticulture in Collio by the Attems dynasty dates back to 1106 and the production of [Ribolla Gialla] and Refosco is recorded in the ledgers of 1764.
A millenary tradition that has made this company the point of reference in the territory and which has seen Count Douglas Attems as a protagonist: he deserves the credit for having founded, in 1964, the Consorzio dei Vini del Collio, third in order of time in Italy and first in Friuli. Learn more
