DESCRIPTION
Sondraia is the clear testimony of how the Bordeaux blend harmoniously meets with the Bolgheri terroir, constituting an expression of great originality and giving life to wines of strong identification: just what we like to define "Bolgheri style". Poggio al Tesoro's Bolgheri Superiore Sondraia is born in vineyards that extend along via Bolgherese and via Le Sondraie, in the heart of the renowned Bolgheri DOC. It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and with Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, harvested exclusively by hand.

In the course of a few harvests it has become a classic of Bolgherese, thanks to an interpretation that does not seek mere power but rather harmony and finesse. Grapes of excellent ripeness and a patient cellar work deliver intense notes of fresh fruit and aromatic herbs to the wine that find perfect correspondence on the palate, where the wine relaxes with class and persuasion.

It is advisable to let the wine 'breathe' at least two hours before serving.
You can cellar it for over 7 years if kept correctly.
Naturally suitable for grilled meats, among which the Chianina variety stands out, it goes well with preparations on the spit, roast veal, ribs, ossobuco, lamb or pork shank. The combination with smoked ricotta and Parmesan enhances it.
