DESCRIPTION
Teos, a city of ancient Greece dear to the god Dionysus, is the name of the sweet wine of Poggio al Tesoro. Allegrini's expertise in the art of drying inspired the birth of this Petit Manseng from dried grapes.
ESTATE POGGIO AL TESORO, BOLGHERI CASTAGNETO CARDUCCI (LI)
Harvest: In boxes of 4 kg each. The drying time is about 1 month. Manual harvest carried out in early September, the grapes are placed in drying boxes. Vinification: Soft pressing of the whole grapes and pre-fermentation cold maceration for one night. Fermentation: In stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Fermentation temperature: 16-18 ° C. Duration of fermentation: 40 days
In barrique for about 12 months.
Warm and reassuring like a walk through the rows of Poggio al Tesoro, sunny and dry like the wind that crosses them in August, an evocative wine, outlined by the scents that you rediscover in this land of wild herbs and sea. The mouth is of a never exaggerated sweetness, refreshed by the acidity and an aromatic return of caramel and licorice, which bring the wine back into a track of harmony and lightness, for a dry finish that leads us by the hand to a new sip.
