DESCRIPTION
Vignavecchia di San Polo faces west, on a hill of rare beauty particularly rich in Galestro, where biodiversity reigns supreme. With the utmost respect for the times of nature, the Brunello Icona di San Polo is born here, from 30-year-old vines with a deep root system.

Harvest: Manual harvest in small 17 kg crates carried out in the first ten days of October. Vinification: Soft pressing of the grapes preceded by careful selection of the grapes. Fermentation: In 600 liter tonneaux. Fermentation temperature: 28/30 ° C. Duration of fermentation: 28/30 days. Malolactic fermentation: Carried out in 600-liter tonneaux.
Aging: 30 months in 600-liter tonneaux of lightly toasted French oak with thick staves. This is followed by a refinement of at least 6 months in the bottle, before being put on the market.
The color is intense ruby red while the nose expresses notes of ripe red fruits, floral aromas of violets, undergrowth and is completed with pleasant hints of aromatic wood. In the mouth it is warm, with a dense, persistent texture and excellent verticality.
HOW TO SERVE
16-18 ° C
It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 16-18 ° C in wide-shaped glasses, to be able to grasp its composite and harmonious bouquet. Uncork a couple of hours earlier.
Brunello Vignavecchia di San Polo, thanks to the characteristics of the land from which it comes, withstands long aging and improves with aging in the bottle. It can be stored in the cellar for over 15 years
The elegance and harmonious body of the wine allow combinations with very structured dishes such as red meats, feathered and furred game, possibly accompanied by mushrooms and truffles. Excellent with cheeses such as aged tome and Parmigiano Reggiano.
