It is the best-known viticultural reality in Spain, deeply linked to the production area of the upper valley of the Duero river, halfway with Portugal. The watershed may be 1982, the year of the recognition of the Ribera del Duero appellation and the purchase of Vega Sicilia by the Álvarez family, but the Bodega had already been producing wine for a century. Vega Sicilia has also contributed to reviving the fortunes of the Toro production area where Pintia Toro is produced from the Bodegas Pintia winery acquired in 1998.
Intense cherry color. On the nose aromas of ripe fruit, noble woods, spices and balsamic memories. In the mouth it is broad, tannic, the fruits return. In the final vanilla as an aftertaste.
