DESCRIPTION
A wine that has become the image of the Sicilian change of wine. It was born from the desire to be able to compete with the world in the production of this noble and widespread vine. After a long road that began in 1985, full of surprises and successes, today Planeta Chardonnay is an icon for the whole of Sicily. The vineyards of Ulmo and Maroccoli, which compose it, are unique in terms of position and terroir. The careful and precise fermentation and aging in French woods gives us a wine that is unique in terms of grace and power.

After destemming, soft pressing and static sedimentation at low temperature; inoculation of selected yeasts on the limpid, fermentation at 18 ° C in barriques.
Aging in barrique with bâtonnage performed every 10 days.
Chardonnay in purity that clearly brings out its characteristics that have made it so famous. Starting from the richness of the deep but transparent light gold color, one senses the pleasant contrast of creaminess and crunchiness that will await us at the tasting. It is in fact a soft white supported by a refreshing acid vein that accompanies all the tasting. A subtle mineral trait makes the flavor of ripe yellow peaches, acacia honey and almond paste dialogue harmoniously with the most peaty, cereal and toasted aromas that overlook the powerful and balanced finish.
HOW TO SERVE
10-12 °C (77°F)
It is advisable to let the wine 'breathe' at least fifteen to thirty minutes before serving.
To drink immediately or age up to 8-10 years.
Try it with lightly seared foie gras or roast veal with a mushroom sauce.
