DESCRIPTION
Precious jewel of Zenato production, born from the selection of the best grapes of the Valpolicella Classica (Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina) grown in the vineyards in the Municipality of Sant'Ambrogio. Amarone ZENATO is a wine of great structure, complex, elegant, velvety.
Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella (VR)
The grapes, after manual harvesting and careful selection, are left to rest in the loft for a period ranging from 3 to 4 months in crates, taking care of the spacing between bunch and bunch to favor correct drying. The dried grapes are then sent to the traditional fermentation in steel and wood.
The new wine is then aged in Slavonian oak barrels for a minimum period of 36 months.
Color: red tending to garnet with aging. Bouquet: elegant, spicy, with hints of cherry, morello cherry, dried fruit and plum. Taste: round, velvety, enveloping, soft.
HOW TO SERVE
18°C
It is advisable to let the wine 'breathe' at least 1 hour before serving.
The extreme balance of all its components makes it suitable for long aging. (Note from the producer)
It is ideal with roasts, game and aged cheeses, but also alone in the company of a good book.
CELLAR
That of Zenato is the story of a family that has its roots in the earth. This is thanks to the passion and entrepreneurial vision of its founder Sergio who guided him in the realization of his greatest dream: to create a winery capable of reaping the fruits of the earth and transforming them into emotions with a unique flavor. Today, more than 60 years later, the results tell the extraordinary value of that vision which gave rise to a great story that has as its protagonist the family of Sergio Zenato: his wife Carla and their children Alberto and Nadia.
