DESCRIPTION
In the Renaissance in Florence, the Spezieri were the spice merchants. This wine takes its name from the ancient art of mixing together, composed of Sangiovese corrected with another traditional Tuscan grape, Ciliegiolo, with small quantities of other varieties produced in the Col d'Orcia area. Spezieri is a young, fruity wine, easy to drink, to be consumed with daily meals. Due to its composition it is very versatile in terms of pairing with food, we also recommend trying it after putting it in a cool place during the summer.
Montalcino - Siena - Sant'Angelo in Colle hill overlooking the Orcia river.
Maceration of the grapes for 8 - 10 days with careful control of fermentation temperatures, never exceeding 26 ° C to preserve the very intense and characteristic fruit load. The malolactic fermentation immediately follows the alcoholic one (for 20% of Sangiovese the malolactic fermentation is carried out in barriques) and the bottling is premature to capture all the freshness of this product.
Refinement in the bottle
Color: Intense ruby red, with violet reflections. Bouquet: The nose offers a bouquet of red fruit among which cherries and sour cherries stand out. Taste: In the mouth it is fresh and fragrant, with soft tannins and pleasant fruity notes.

CELLAR
Col d'Orcia is one of the historic companies of Montalcino. Today's lineage dates back to at least 1890, the date on which official documents show that the Franceschi family originally from Florence bought the property, later known as Fattoria di Sant'Angelo in Colle. In early 1933 the Fattoria di Sant'Angelo in Colle presented its Brunellis at the "wine exhibition" (First Exhibition of Italian Wines) held in Siena, one of the first commercial activities presented in Italy, decades before the Brunello became a precious (first class) wine of international and world level.
