DESCRIPTION
The new denomination “Sant'Antimo” is allowed only to wines obtained from grapes produced in the Montalcino area, a further enrichment to the already existing preciousness that is its own. In Montalcino, Brunello is the most traditional expression of the supremacy of local grape varieties. But other famous grape varieties can give great results. Some, such as Cabernet, Merlot or Chardonnay, have an international taste and diffusion. Pinot Grigio is, together with Sangiovese, the most widespread and appreciated grape variety of Italian origin in the world. Sant'Antimo Pinot Grigio is the result of a prosperous migration from the original northern Italy to the sunny hills of Tuscany. The resulting wine has an intense fruit, although gentle and elegant, an inviting flavor, a great amiability.
Montalcino - Siena - Sant'Angelo in Colle hill overlooking the Orcia river.

CELLAR
Col d'Orcia is one of the historic companies of Montalcino. Today's lineage dates back to at least 1890, the date on which official documents show that the Franceschi family originally from Florence bought the property, later known as Fattoria di Sant'Angelo in Colle. In early 1933 the Fattoria di Sant'Angelo in Colle presented its Brunellis at the "wine exhibition" (First Exhibition of Italian Wines) held in Siena, one of the first commercial activities presented in Italy, decades before the Brunello became a precious (first class) wine of international and world level.
