DESCRIPTION
This famous vine derives from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir and, preferring cool climates, finds its ideal habitat in the hills. The Livio Felluga vinification gives the wine finesse and elegance, maintaining the subtle coppery reflections that unmistakably characterize its color. It is certainly the best known Friulian wine in the world.
ROSAZZO (GO)
The grapes are delicately de-stemmed and left to macerate for a short period. It is then softly pressed and the must obtained is clarified by decanting. The must then ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel containers.
At the end of fermentation, the wine is kept on the lees in stainless steel containers for six months. The bottled wine is normally stored in thermo-conditioned rooms for about two months.
Color: bright yellow with pink and coppery reflections. Bouquet: complex, powerful, enveloping. Rich and multifaceted bouquet: the floral contribution of orange blossom, daisy and white wisteria evolves into notes of ripe fruit with apricot, percoca, white melon and yellow peach in evidence. Sweet sensations of custard and creme brûlé are well balanced by the freshness of citrus. Taste: voluminous, crunchy, compact. Full and progressive. The attack is complex and velvety, fresh and enveloping. Excellent aromatic correspondence on the palate, we find pineapple, melon, Nashi pear, yellow peach and sweet pastry notes that are enriched by a nice freshness and pleasant flavor. The finish is fresh, taut and very persistent with an aftertaste of citrus and white fruit.

Rest in the cellar quietly for 2-3 years
Particularly suitable for fish dishes, shellfish appetizers, risottos and vegetable flans.

It is easy to understand that the history of Livio Felluga and his wine is intertwined with the history of that particular land that surrounds the extreme north-east of the Adriatic, the point of contact between the Mediterranean and central Europe.
