DESCRIPTION
La Grande Année is a very simple name but which emphasizes to the maximum the exceptional state of this wine. The 2008 harvest was a spectacular year for all the champagnes obtained with the grapes harvested that year.
Reims
Vinification in vats, malolactic fermentation, 50-60% of reserve wines, 30 months of aging on the lees in the cellar
It ferments in tonneaux and the aging period is more than twice as long as required by the specification of the denomination.
Antique gold color with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose toasted bread reminiscent of the passage in tonneaux, notes of black and red fruit such as black cherry and currant, almond, but also of exotic spices. In the mouth excellent structure, long and persistent.
