DESCRIPTION
Messiio, a name originating from the tradition that means "he who will come", is the wine of excellence of the cellar, produced only in the best vintages. Made with Merlot grapes only, coming from the most long-lived and selected vineyards of the estate, it represents the maximum expression of this blend, universally recognized as a vine with great roundness and softness. The careful selection of the grapes, the obsessive care in the vinification process, the partial fermentation and aging in wood give Messiio depth, persistence and a strong personality.
Location Grilli-Gavorrano (GR) ITALY.
Soft pressing and partial fermentation in Allier tonneaux.
Aging for 12 months in barriques (new and second passage) followed by blending. Resting in the bottle for at least 6 months.
Intense garnet red wine. The nose is an explosion of black fruits in an infinite variety, wrapped in subtle notes of vanilla. On the palate the aromatic component evolves towards tobacco and chocolate, with a light note of caramel. Round, full-bodied and intense.

The estate was born on an area extremely devoted to viticulture, in a place where the dominant note is nature; among the wild and spontaneous vegetation, the hand of man has acted with delicate harmony, designing an amphitheater of vineyards.
