DESCRIPTION
The producer claims to use a “Bordeaux approach” in the selection of wines. The choice is made directly in the barriques: for the red, freshness is preferred, while for the Superiore, elegance and aging potential must prevail.
Colle Massari Castle, Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci (LI)
A wine from a 10-hectare vineyard located 100 meters above sea level, with an average age of 20 years. The soils enjoy a mild Mediterranean climate. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks.
Subsequently the wine matures for ten months in French oak barriques, some of the second passage, while others of the third. A further 6 months of bottle aging follow.
Dark garnet red color. On the nose a combination of black fruit and delicate notes of chocolate, plum and black currant. A dense, elegant wine with a balsamic note given by the presence of Sangiovese. Juicy and drinkable with silky tannins, it is a structured wine.

It is recommended to let it breathe at least 30 minutes before serving.
It can rest in the cellar for 4-5 years if kept correctly
It goes perfectly with grilled meat, game, pasta, mushroom risotto. Try it with fish.
