DESCRIPTION

MONFORTE D'ALBA
Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes were crushed and only 65% ​​destemmed. The maceration, which took place in stainless steel tanks, took about 7 days at a maximum temperature of 30 ° C. The malolactic fermentation ended before the end.
The aging took place in French oak barrels of different capacities for 18 months and for 24 months in steel. The wine aged 24 months in the bottle before being released on the market.
The Vigna Colonnello has a red color with orange ruby ​​reflections. Pleasant hints of rose petals, raspberry and pomegranate on the nose, combined with spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate it is intense, with sweet, enveloping tannins and a long and consistent aftertaste.

HOW TO SERVE

It is advisable to pour the wine into a decanter at least 1 or 2 hours before serving.
It can rest in the cellar for over 20 years.
Thanks to its characteristics of structure and body it goes well with meat dishes, game and cheeses.
