DESCRIPTION
It is the Cru of Capichera. Numerous harvests of single parcels have allowed us after years to recognize the peculiarities of the “Coddhu ecchju” plot of incomparable characteristics. Santigaìni is undoubtedly the most elegant and unique expression of a Vermentino with an explosive personality, and with a freshness and longevity that leave you amazed. Released 4 years after the harvest, it has been produced in very few bottles since 2003. The name Santigaìni indicates the month of October.

In steel tanks at 16/18 ° C for 4 weeks
New and semi-new barriques lasting 6-8 months, and then continuing in the bottle
Color: deep straw yellow with green-golden reflections; slightly veiled
Nose: opens intensely with floral, honey, citrus notes, aromatic herbs, salt, flint, lavender that alternate, blend, and reappear in harmonic sequence
Taste: full, lively and complex; freshness, fruit and minerality form a unique texture and give integrity and a valuable final persistence.

Capichera is an Italian wine-making reality that rises in a corner of Sardinia, set among the granite rocks of Gallura, in Arzachena, in a unique and fascinating natural setting that is dripping with important and ancient traditions.
A family-run company that at the end of the 70s, following a great intuition, led to an important enological transition not only in Sardinia: it was the first winery to enhance with remarkable success the aging in barrique of Vermentino in purity , proposing a model based on a production of the highest quality and continuous research through a respectful and rigorous viticulture of the territory's identity, allowing this vine to reveal its great peculiarities and characteristics.
