Joseph Drouhin
The French winery Joseph Drouhin is an established producer in Burgundy. The company has been producing fine wines since 1880 and the fourth generation is now at the helm. Joseph Drouhin's vineyards are distributed across several regions: Chablis, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Côte de Nuits and Beaujolais. The winery produces wines of almost 90 (!) different denominations. They all vary in style and have their own authenticity.
All parcels owned by Joseph Drouhin are treated organically and biodynamically. Everything revolves around respect for nature and the vine. That's why only natural products are used. The plant is made up of the classic Burgundy vines: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay.
Véronique Drouhin is the winemaker and takes care of all the wines. His brother Philippe takes care of the management of the vineyards. Together with Frédéric Drouhin, they are responsible for the daily management and success of the winery. Joseph Drouhin's portfolio consists of wines intended to be drunk young, but also wines that only improve with time, with good aging potential. Some grand cru wines are Clos de la Roche, Corton, Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche, Bonnes Mares, Chablis Vaudésir. This is just a small selection from the entire range! Each is a high quality wine!
Traditional winemaking methods are the main ones in the cellar. Temperature-controlled fermentation and French oak barrels are used for both fermentation and maturation. The maturation period depends on the denomination, vintage and style. The underground cellar contains long corridors, where you can visit and have a tasting.
