DESCRIPTION
Maluentu is a small Sardinian island, but it is also a wine that comes from indigenous Nieddera grapes. For over a century, the name Contini has been identified with Vernaccia di Oristano. Then, over the years, Vernaccia has been joined by other productions such as Cannonau, Vermentino, and Nieddera.

Fermentation with 8-10 days maceration on the skins, soft pressing.
Refine part in concrete and part in barrel.
Deep ruby red color. The nose is intense and rich. The hints of ripe red fruit and notes of sweet spices dominate. In the mouth it is warm. Well balanced and tannic.

Wine ready to drink immediately, but can be left to rest in the cellar for up to 3 years
Its best pairing is certainly red meat, cooked on the grill but also braised.

Founded in 1898 by the hand of Salvatore Contini, the Contini winery occupies a position of primary importance in the context of the highest excellence of the Sardinian wine scene. A long and exciting story has seen after Salvatore, his son Attilio Contini as protagonist, who, carrying on the commitment initially undertaken by his father, managed to give shape to what is today the Contini winery: a reality of 1.300.000 bottles per year , which can currently count on a cultivated area of about seventy hectares.
