DESCRIPTION
Biodynamic cultivation for this Gewurztraminer, on vines that have exceeded 30 years of age on a calcareous volcanic soil. Defined as one of the best crus in all of Alsace.
Alsace
Hand-picked grapes. The vinification and fermentation takes place in oak barrels not toasted with indigenous yeasts.
The maturation takes place in oak barrels with fermentation for a few months depending on the vintage.
Straw yellow color with golden reflections. Intense hints of exotic fruit and citrus notes on the nose, but also smoky notes and sweet spices. Deep, fresh, soft and very persistent in the mouth.

Perfect to be tasted on its own, it finds the optimal combination in shellfish, in the preparation of fish of a certain structure, with foie gras and is ideal with Thai cuisine (Indian and oriental in primis).

Josef Hofstätter founded the company in 1907. Today, the fourth generation of the Foradori Hofstätter family leads this tradition-rich business. With the purchase of Maso Michei, the family has added to its properties an extraordinary high mountain exposure, enhancing the Trentino origins of its ancestors.
