Nino Negri
Nino Negri in Valtellina is part of the Italian Wines Group. It is located in an ancient XNUMXth century palace, which was given to the military Stefano Quadrio by the Duke of Milan. Already at that time he began to grow wine. In the XNUMXth century, the namesake Nino Negri got married into the family, giving rise to today's brand.
New technology in old walls
The estate has dedicated itself to the fusion of modern technology and tradition to produce the best wines of its wine region. For example, the old barrels of various filling sizes in the cellar were replaced by modern French and American oak barrels, and temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks were installed. In the vineyards, they are experimenting with different Nebbiolo clones to get the best out of the grape. The grapes are grown mainly on terraces with predominantly sandy soils.
