San Leonardo Estates
More than a thousand years ago it was a monastery, for over three centuries it has been the residence of the Marquis Guerrieri Gonzaga who are passionate guardians. Today the estate San Leonardo is a garden of vines and roses protected by the imposing Trentino mountains that dampen the cold northern winds, while the valley floor welcomes and offers the warmth of Lake Garda.
The estate is an ancient world where the patient cellar practices, still absolutely artisanal, offer wines that are authentic jewels of Italian enology, distinguished by freshness, harmony and innate elegance.
The soul of San Leonardo is closely linked to the Guerrieri Gonzaga family, winemakers in San Leonardo since the eighteenth century, who are part of the fascinating centuries-old story of the estate. The long family tradition echoes in every corner of the company. A first reorganization of the estate took place between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century thanks to the father of the Marquis Carlo, a lover of enology.
But Carlo is the first true winemaker of the family, who has been passionate about great wines for fifty years and has dedicated almost all of his attention and time to San Leonardo. He passed on passion and love for the vine and wine to his son Anselmo who today manages the company always listening to the beating heart for this estate loved by the whole family in every choice.
