Cloudy bay
Created in 1985 by David Hohnen, founder of the Cape Mentelle estate in Australia, the Cloudy Bay vineyards extend to the mouth of the bay of the same name in New Zealand. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the Richmond Range mountains, this piece of land offers a truly extraordinary landscape. Cloudy Bay, one of the first estates in the Marlborough region, has contributed enormously to making New Zealand one of the most important wine producing areas of the "New World". Expressive, refined and fruity, Cloudy Bay wines reflect the spirit of the region.
The Sauvignon Blanc variety is the flagship of the estate and owes its fame to extraordinary freshness and refinement. Cloudy Bay also produces Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and a slightly sparkling sparkling wine, Pelorus. An exceptional diversity that reflects the different terroirs of the estate.
Considered the purest expression of the Marlborough region terroir, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is born from nine different plots of land. Produced with hand-picked grapes in the evening, when the climate is cooler, to preserve its aromas, this wine owes its fruity character to the proximity of the sea.
