Château De Pez
Created in the 15th century, Pez is the ancient domaine of Saint Estèphe. The Pontac family, who also created Haut-Brion, gave their Pez vineyards. The domaine was sold to the state after the French Revolution and owned by a succession of families before it was bought by Champagne Louis Roederer in 1995. Located west of the city of Saint-Estèphe, Château de Pez is 74 acres, with 59 acres planted with main vines, especially Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
