Château Bellegrave
Château Bellegrave is located in the south of Pauillac, between Château Latour, Pichon-Longueville and Lynch-Bages. Previously owned by Mr. Armand Roux, in 1901 the property was bought by his business partner and sole heir, Mr. H. Van-Der-Voort, a merchant in San Francisco. In 1997, it was JP Meffre, former owner of Château Du Glana and Château Lalande in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, who bought the estate. Hailing from Comtat Venaissin in the Vaucluse region of southeastern France, Gabriel Meffre, a renowned nurseryman looking for places to sell his plants, discovered the Médoc in 1954 and bought several properties in Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac and Saint- Julien. Today, his nephews Ludovic and Julien manage this new estate.
They are convinced that Pauillac is the promised land for Cabernet Sauvignon, the ideal place where its power and elegance can best develop. Your passion for viticulture constantly pushes you to make Bellegrave express its full potential. You achieve it through your judicious balance of modern methods and respect for tradition.
