Bouillons
Buglioni was born in the now distant summer of 1993, from the purchase of a farmhouse, our future home, surrounded by three hectares of vineyards and two of olive trees. After only two months the first harvest, without having the slightest idea of how to cut, harvest and where to put that precious fruit: grapes.
For the first few years the harvest became an inevitable meeting with friends and collaborators, then instinct and passion made us dream of becoming true producers.
It was only in 2000, after completing the renovation of the farmhouse with its underground cellar, that we decided to contact the San Michele all'Adige oenological institute to find a young winemaker who wanted to support us in this new adventure of producers. Diego Bertoni accepted the challenge and still today he is our oenologist. Shortly after, to understand if our passion could already express quality, we called an expert sommelier who, tasting the "Ripasso" complimented it on its characteristics and its incredible goodness, but confused it for an Amarone. an Amarone but a Ripasso, his astonished exclamation was:
"IF IT'S NOT AN AMARONE, THEN IT'S A LIAR WINE"
Alfredo Buglioni caught the exclamation with a smile and decided to call the Ripasso “Il Liar”, thus making it the symbol of our Winery and Resort.
