Prunotto
Prunotto was founded in 1904 as a cooperative “Ai Vini delle Langhe”. Alfredo Prunotto and many small local winemakers were present at the signing ceremony, along with the notary and other personalities from the region. The first harvest as a cooperative took place in 1905, followed by years of ups and downs and the First World War. In 1922, the cooperative had to be renewed, but many winemakers left and there was a serious crisis.
Alfredo Prunotto, together with his wife Luigina, decides to take over the winery and to continue it under his own name. With passion and dedication, the couple are dedicated to expanding their company and the success they soon achieve internationally proves they are right. Prunotto wines are sold in Italy and also arrive in new overseas markets, South America and the United States.
