Chateau Lynch Bages
In 1939, the family Cazes buy the Château ei 100 hectares of vineyards that make up the estate. A new era of rebirth begins for Château Lynch-Bages. Divided into two parts, the vineyards of the Château extend on the plateau of Bages and near Château Mouton-Rothschild, on sandy and gravelly soils, which allow excellent drainage. At Château Lynch-Bages, the Cabernet Sauvignon, with a majority variety assortment of 73%, it has found all the conditions necessary to reveal its splendor, so typical of the Bordeaux wine region. However, Château Lynch-Bages does not neglect the other typical Bordeaux grape varieties with 15% of Merlot, the 10% of cabernet franc, the 2% of petit verdot.
The history of the great wines of Château Lynch-Bages begins with the care reserved to the vineyard and with the implementation since 2006 of a parcel subdivision via satellite. The wines begin to build their own personality right from the harvest, progressively achieved by grape variety, maturity and terroir. After the period of maceration, racking, pressing and malolactic fermentation, the decisive moment of the blend arrives, which requires all the expertise of the technical teams of the Château.
The 2020 vintage is the first vintage produced in the new facilities of the Château Lynch-Bages. Imagine the architect Chien Chung (Didi) Pei, whose linear architectural style is internationally known, the new vat and its aging cellar are cutting-edge tools, aimed at making the most of the terroir of such an emblematic property of Pauillac.
Recognized as one of Bordeaux's most sought-after Crus Classés, Château Lynch-Bages embodies the charm of wines intense e opulent, which are perfected year after year. Elegant and structured, generous in his youth, maturity suits him perfectly, and reveals an aromatic complexity all his own.
