Château Haut Brion
Château Haut-Brion is one of the most famous vineyards in Bordeaux. Originally located outside the city of Bordeaux, its growth has made it part of the area. The Romans were already active here, as evidenced by the findings of coins in the field. In 1521, the denomination "Cru" for a place called "Aubrion" is found for the first time in the departmental archives of the Gironde. In 1533, Jean de Pontac bought the estate and began promoting viticulture on the estate. The current Château Haut-Brion, built in 1549, can also be traced back to him. His work on the estate was very extensive, as he managed to reach the age of 101, which was unusual for that time.
